Woodland Hills Hilton & Towers, at
Warner Center, Woodland Hills (at Canoga Avenue & Victory Boulevard) |
|

One/two piece dresses, dressy pant suits, street length dresses. Gentleman:
(optional) sport shirts, coats, slacks, suit & tie. |
Our 50th Anniversary bas has
been planned early to enable us to obtain the best location, a great meal at
the best prices, a well planned-in-advance program, dinner background music
"not competing with conversations", special door prizes donated by
classmates, 5O's dance music late in the evening, seeing & chatting with
long ago friends, a prepared Memory Book that will arrive ninety days later at
your door, special group discount rates for overnight hotel guests and lastly
you will be provided with fond memories of this special night together. We have
already located 60% of our class and the list continues to grow!
We have a dedicated Reunion Committee of
some twenty classmates that have been diligently giving hours of their time,
paying "out of pocket" initial reunion expenses and working hard to
assure you an evening that you will long remember!
To be assured of meeting our
$12,000 hotel/function guarantee, your Reunion Committee is providing a most
creative incentive payment plan that rewards the "Early Birds" who
purchase their Reunion Entry Ticket(s) in any one of three available pay
periods prior to March 1, 2003.
NOW TO THE SERIOUS STUFF! It
may seem a bit soon to be paying for an event which is still just under two
years away, but your timely response to this request is crucial to the holding
and eventual success of the event; We have already made a non-refundable $1,500
deposit to the Hilton. But in addition, your committee will be held personally
responsible for an additional $10,500!
There is a caveat to the above. We do
have up to June 2003 to cancel the event and not be responsible for anything
more than the $1,500 initial deposit. This means we have less than one year to know
where we stand financially and if we will be able to hold our 50th
Anniversary Reunion. BUT WE MUST KNOW WELL BEFOREHAND WHAT OUR ATTENDANCE IS
LIKELY TO BE… before any final commitments can be made. The one way we can
guarantee the holding and success of our reunion is by having everyone
completing their RSVP and sending it as soon as possible. Thus the “Early Bird”
incentive.
If we do not receive the necessary
support needed and the event should be cancelled, your Reunion Committee will
return all payments received, less out-of-pocket expenses which were incurred
up to that point… apportioned equally among all who made payments early.
Kids, we really need your
support on this one and hope you will agree with your committee that it is
worth the effort to ACT NOW. Your cooperation makes all of the difference.
Thank you!
All of your friends of the
class of 1954 are very welcome to attend! We eagerly anticipate seeing you and
spending this evening with you Stay Well!
Sincerely yours,
Class of 1954/50th Anniversary
