We never saw an angel
With ink-stains on his wings;
A halo set in type-slugs;
A printing press that sings.
We never saw an angel
With smudges on his face
Turning out a paper
With half so good a grace.
Nor have we seen an angel
Who never wore a frown.
A Print Shop for his heaven;
An apron for his gown.
But now at last we've found him;
Our searching days are through.
We'd ne'er seen such an angel...
Never -until you.
